1999 – 2001Sonar CLINIC, Chicago, IL
Operation Administrator – Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology
- Provided administrative oversight to the Gastroenterology and Hepatology division outpatient practice. The division consisted of 71 physicians and 244 allied health FTEs with an operating budget of $40 million and revenues in excess of $51 million. The GI division was the largest and ranked the best in the country.
- Developed the 2001 operational budget for the division and significantly increased RVUs by 12.8% with an expense increase of only 2 percent.
- Consulted with physician leaders in the areas of financial planning, patient relations, strategic planning, employee hiring, departmental reviews, and software purchases.
- Implemented new initiatives involving enhanced patient care, and significantly improved management reporting tools resulting in enhanced profitability.
Operation Manager
- Managed the Pneumatic Tube System Replacement project and supervised a team of 20 individuals with overall implementation responsibility in a 330-bed hospital.
- Chaired a multidisciplinary team of 15 managers responsible for the project design, implementation and communication with a total project budget of $2.8 million.
- Designed and selected key operational systems and processes to effectively run the newly constructed Ambulatory Surgery Center.
