General Resume
At one point in our lives, we will have to look for a job. This fact can readily mean that each one of us will also have to write the resume that we can use to advertise our qualifications and make it possible to land on a career opportunity. But what are the real parts necessary for a general resume? Let me give you the few basic parameters that you need to include in your first resume document.
- Profile of identification. This part sits at the upper portion of the resume page. It should include your name, your address and contact details like phone number and e-mail.
- Objective sentence in an employment resume. This is the part where you will present your overall goal in applying for a job. It should also mention what your long term goals are in the field of industry that you are targeting to enter.
- Work experiences. Not all applicants can have this part especially if it is y our first time to look for a job. But if you have any job experiences, you may simply list them down in this section and highlight the important tasks you have undertaken for the previous company.
- Educational background. This is where you will have to include all your academic achievements. You may specify the college degree that you have taken and the positions you held for school organizations if you were a part of any of them.
- Abilities. This section provides the employer a glimpse of what you can do outside of the job description parameter that you are applying for. It may help to list down any qualifications and skills that you have to consider you as a well rounded employee.
A general resume contains all these parts and you should write the information in an accurate and honest manner. If you need any reference materials, please go to our Samples page for more professional resume.
