A physician's assistant is not focused on the physician and their needs. We focus on the patient and the patient's needs. We also don't review a patient's history in case the physician is getting ready to change a patient's medication. PA's are trained to diagnose, treat, prescribe, order and interpret labs and diagnostic tests, and assist in surgeries. Many times a physician does not need to be physically present in the office for a PA to work - as long as a PA can get a hold of the physician if a complex case arises. People need to learn more about what a PA is.
