General Cover Letter
How do we actually write a general cover letter? In this line of questioning, it is necessary that you know what a cover letter is in the first place. Many times people are simply ignorant about the process of writing a good cover letter because they think that a resume will suffice in order for them to get that dream job. However, this is not always the case because there are some employers who are more eager to see a cover letter together with a resume. So what is a cover letter? This is a form of letter that provides all the details about your profile. It is written in a way so that you will get attached to the senses of the employer and for you to have a “personality” in that sense. This brings more connection in terms of having a rapport with the employer rather than submitting only a boring resume full of compact details. Please take note that cover letters and resumes should complement each other and no single document is better than the other.
So what is a general cover letter? This is a cover letter that can come as a basic file. The basic of cover letter writing for first time job seekers should have at least three paragraphs. Of course, at the upper hand corner of the page, you should include your address, date, the name of the employer, the position, and the company. The first paragraph of the general cover letter must involve your goal and intention for applying. This is also a good place to initiate your objective as to why you should be hired. The second paragraph must involve all the necessary details that will tell the employer what you can do for the company. Include all your achievements in both education and work experiences if any. Lastly, the third paragraph should have information about your contact details that will help your employer contact you for an interview. You are all set.
