Choosing the Best Resume Fonts
Usually, first time job seekers concentrate on the contents of their resumes and cover letters. While this aspect is a very important thing to consider, you should also bear in mind that there are other factors, as minor as they can be, that can truly make a difference when writing a quality resume. This time, we will talk about how to utilize the concepts in choosing the best resume font.
We can first classify the two types of fonts that we can identify among formal documents. These are the Serif fonts and the Sans serif fonts. The Serif fonts are those that have “tails” in the fonts. One good example is the Times New Roman. Meanwhile, the Sans Serif fonts are those without tails like Arial. The Arial font is more of a blocky type of font while the Times New Roman has more stylistic parts. What we mean by a “tail” is the protruding part of the letter that seems to lengthen their visual projection. In any case, you can use any resume fonts that you think can highlight the features of your document.
